Description

Hiking in the Yorkshire dales is a constant pleasure particularly here in Sleddale where we see the walkers traversing the green pastures towards a farm.

"The Yorkshire Dales are lower lying than the neighbouring Lake District but are no less challenging when the rains come particularly in the lower reaches of Swaledale where it is not unusual for the roads to turn into rivers".

The original painting was purchased by the collection of Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire
